HOW WE DEVELOP AFRICA’S NEXT GENERATION LEADERS
AFRICA NEXT GENERATION INSTITUTE
African Next Generation Institute offers a two-year residential practical skills certification program for the African youths. The student takes on a skills development program of their own choice for example Metal Fabrication, wood work, hair dressing, fashion and design, Motor Vehicle repairs, electrical technician, leather and tent Stitching, Branding. In addition a student will take on a certificate in organizational Leadership, a certificate in Practical Business Management training. In the two years, the students will be taught, mentored, coached and their graduation will be held at their new place of business. No business, no graduation.
This community empowers each student with the skills and mindsets required for transformative leadership. Our curriculum goes well beyond academic theory, fostering critical inquiry, entrepreneurial leadership, and cross-cultural competence. We develop well-rounded young people who are equipped to navigate and excel in an increasingly complex world.
Since we opened we opened our doors, the young leaders within our programs represent a wide variety of backgrounds. These young leaders embody the promise of the African continent and have demonstrated incredible potential, a strong belief in the continent’s future, and a keen awareness of their role in shaping that future.
By developing talented youth into great leaders for the continent, Africa Next Generation Institute is a vital part of Africa’s transformation.
STUDENTS LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS.
The Students Leadership Development (SLD) is a program of Africa Next Generation Foundation designed to shape the leadership of Africa’s next generation following a values based system around principles Followed by the greatest leaders that have impacted their communities. SLD seeks to Engage, Equip to Transform. We seek to Transform not just inform. We will inform the mind, to Change the heart and as a result transform our world.
The course is designed to be completed in 40 classes where a trainee will undergo a training for one lesson a week and given a full week to ponder, apply a lesson for a full week. They will be given a lesson application guide that will guide their thought pattern and reflection for the week. The SLD Training program covers secondary and university student leaders.
ANNUAL AFRICA NEXT GENERATION SUMMIT.
The Annual Africa Next Generation Summit connects and inspires young people to lead responsibly towards a better world through in-person leadership training. The Summit focuses on student leaders in high schools across Uganda and the East African region, between the ages of 13 and 25.
By attending the summit, young leaders get an opportunity to start of a long journey of continuous learning, commitment that prepares young people to become more responsible, values-based, to live a life of purpose, and in the long-term to become impactful, transformational, accountable leaders.
THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Our scholarship program supports learners with schools fees, scholastic materials, a meal daily through the feeding program, medical care and a life skills training program.
Why Scholarship?
Africa is suffering from an epidemic. Parents and/or guardians are forced to give up their guardianship to orphanages simply because they’re unable to provide the most basic needs for their children: food, medical care, and education. Children who have living, healthy family members can and do become orphans overnight.
If we provide food, medical care, and schooling funds for children, families are more likely to stay intact and thus reducing on the effects that come with single Parenthood.
